Doug .. great discussion on not so hardy plants that seduce us with their colours.
BUT .. I am too happy to tell you that I have had Golden Jubilee Hyssop for 3 years. Not only has it come back for me those three years it has sprouted volunteers .. 4 to be exact .. for which I transplanted in different areas of the garden to play out better odds of at least one taking.
Now of course this has been a wicked winter .. but there has been snow cover .. I think if I was going to lose this plant it should have been in those last three years.
I am really proud of this plant and it sticking in my garden .. remember me in Kingston .. 5b .. and I have done it !!
Joy : )
Joy – I’m *delighted* to hear that this plant survives for you.
I lost it once and never revisited it. Normally, I’d try it a few times but it dropped off my plant radar and I’ve never gone back to it. I guess this spring I’ll have to look for a few plants and trial it again.
