Echinacea or Coneflower

I rather like Echinacea or Coneflower and given that I have way too many varieties of this plant in my garden, this is probably a very good thing. I just made a short video on growing them. You can find it here.

Can’t access your videos right now, not until my ISP gets the bottleneck out of our highspeed service out in the boondocks, but I’m with you on echinaceas. THey’re just so great, and the colours…oooooh, the colours….I’ve had very good luck with the Itsaul varieties, not with the Meadowbrites, and I’ll let you know how Green Envy fairs!
Thanks Jodi – do evaluate it (with pictures of course)
over at the new plant upload section. My own trial gardens will be small this year as I’m in build-garden mode.
Just commented on the video .. good job !
You forgot to mention how amazing these flowers can smell Doug ! .. I have had them for a few years but I didn’t realize how fantastic a scent some of them have until I had White Swan in my car while making the garden center stops one morning .. I was stunned to have missed that feature in the older varity ..
I think I might rival you on how many different cultivars I have been collecting .. it IS addicting ! haha
Joy : )
These are among my favorites as well. I’ve got a couple of the newer cultivars on my short list for planting this year (if I can manage to find them locally). ‘Green Envy’ and ‘All That Jazz’ have caught my eye!
