Color Combinations

I always liked this slide and color combination and when it was scanned the other day, I was delighted to see it again. Part of the pleasure is remembering the garden (and the gardeners) of Anstace and Larry Esmonde-White. Two fine gardeners and people, they were former hosts on PBS “From A Country Garden”. These two Irish gentry-gardeners were quite popular in their day and I spent more than one delightful afternoon in their garden and at their table.

So here’s to Larry and Anstace. And to their garden. And this particular combination of red and blue salvia with a tad of green scented-leaf geranium between. Not to mention just the right amount of yellow to offset the red-blue combination.
